KAMLOOPS - It was a cheeky moment caught on camera that earned a Kamloops woman a first place finish in the B.C. SPCA photo contest.
Elizabeth King captured a photo of a red squirrel with a delicate flower hanging from its mouth. That photo beat out all other submissions in the backyard habitats category of the B.C. SPCA’s 2015 Wildlife-in-Focus Photography Contest.
Along with prizes for the win, King’s photo will be featured in the 2016 Animal Sense magazine.
In total more than 600 photos were submitted, helping to raise $4,085 for the charity. The rest of the submitted photos, along with past contest winners, can be viewed online.
