Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops Fundraiser!!
Bowl for Kids’ Sake Volunteer- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops is looking for volunteers to assist with their Bowl For Kids’ Sake event held from March 3-6, 2017 at Bowler time and Falcon Lanes bowling alley. Volunteers will help out with the staff at bowling events, run games, the raffle, and various other duties. All ages are welcome to volunteer. Canadian Mental Health Fundraiser!!
Run Don’t Hide – Ending the Stigma Around Mental Illness – Volunteers who have a good work ethic, integrity, and the ability to work independently or with others are wanted for the Ride Don’t Hide event, held on Sunday, June 25th. People from the community that see the value of speaking up around mental illness and help break the stigma while raising important dollars for community education programing at the CMHA Clubhouse are wanted. Each position requires something different. Please call 250-374-0440 ext 101 if you think you would be a good fit.

Volunteer Kamloops - Dinner Fundraiser!!
Volunteer Kamloops is undertaking fundraising to continue to fund its operations in the community.
On April 23, 2017 the Board of Directors are hosting a dinner from 5:00-9:00pm at “On The Rocks Pub and Grill.” We have three delicious dinner options; steak, butter chicken or vegetarian. We would be truly pleased if your business would be able to give a monetary donation or provide a prize for our Silent Auction, 50/50, etc at the event. Tickets are $15.00 each and are available at Volunteer Kamloops 705 Seymour Street, Tuesday to Friday 9:00 – 4:00.

Throughout the year Crohn’s and Colitis Canada need your volunteer support in many areas. Their promise is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association
Office Cleaner – Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association is looking for office volunteers to keep the dust bunnies away. If you love to clean and have an hour to spare every second week please call 250-554-3811.

Salvation Army
Family Fun Night Volunteers - The Salvation Army is in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help out with meals, games, and activities for our Friday evening Family Fun Nights from 5pm-7pm. Duties: food prep, set-up/take down, games, crafts and other engaging activities with the families. A police information check including the vulnerable sector check is required. 19+ to volunteer. Canadian Mental Health
Client and Family Advisory (CFA) Committee Member
The aim is to represent views of families and clients in the Kamloops and Merritt communities on the following:
Responsibilities: Attend committee meetings (twice a year), read and is familiar with the CFA committee Terms of Reference, keep confidential matters confidential, attend and actively participate in all committee meetings in person or by conference call, provide input and new ideas to the committee, assist in summarizing feedback, suggestions and concerns.
