Kamloops Symphony’s biggest fundraiser is back: Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale

KAMLOOPS – The semi-annual Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale is back in Sahali Mall Nov .15 – 29, as a fundraiser for Kamloops Symphony.

For over 20 years, Barb’s Used Book & Music sale has been Kamloops Symphony’s largest fundraising event, held every spring and fall. Last year, they raised $40,000.

This year they are back at Sahali Mall with extended hours. The return to Sahali Mall means a convenient, central location and an abundance of free parking. Shoppers can find their bargains in over 7,000 square feet of retail space.

This year we have received a record number of donations. Our volunteers work hard at each sale to sort books, so shopping is easier. Most items are only $2. We have books, sheet music, DVDs, records and CDs.

“Support for this event has been phenomenal from day one,” said Kathy Humphreys, general manager at Kamloops Symphony. “Volunteers are eager to help and generous with their time, good quality donations pour in year round, and our financial success shows just how much the community enjoys Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale.”

Kamloops Symphony volunteers will also be accepting donations at the mall beginning Nov. 12, and during the two-week sale Nov. 15 – 29. Shoppers are encouraged to stop in a few times during the sale to find even more bargains, as the donations keep coming in.
