KAMLOOPS – Most city sports fields are ready to reopen following the more than 50 millimetres of rain we received over a three-day period.
Yesterday morning the city announced all sports fields, except the artificial fields at Hillside Stadium, would be closed until further notice. The rain has now stopped and the fields are ready to reopen.
The city says all fields will be open for play as of this afternoon, except McArthur Island Park soccer and baseball fields, the upper and lower fields at Hillside Stadium, Sighh Bowl and the soccer and slo-pitch fields at Pacific Way.
Field conditions will continue to be monitored and the city plans to reopen them as soon as they are safe to use.
