Kamloops Sports Council mourns the death of General Manager Wayne Hall

KAMLOOPS - The general manager of the Kamloops Sports Council, Wayne Hall, has died.

The announcement of Hall's sudden passing came today. He died over the weekend of natural causes, according to a press release from the council.

Hall was known for his commitment as a member of the administrative management team for the Western Canada Summer Games and the B.C. Senior Games. He served on the board, volunteering his time to these and other single sporting events such as the Junior Native Basketball Tournament.

Hall's position as General Manager allowed him to play an integral part in the direction of the strategic plan for the Sports Council. His administrative strengths were utilized by many local sports served by the Sports Council.

"Kamloops has lost a dedicated volunteer who contantly strove to make our sports community better," President of Kamloops Sports Council Henry Pajril said in a press release. "Personally, I have lost a loyal friend and confidant whose advice and guidance was always appreciated and he will be dearly missed."
