KAMLOOPS - Search and rescue teams were called to Sun Peaks last night after reports of two skiers missing in an out of bounds area, but stood down a few hours later.
Searchers were called in at 6:30 p.m. and stood down around 9:30 p.m., Alan Hobler, Kamloops Search and Rescue manager, says.
Last week, the search team was called to the same area near Henderson Creek at Sun Peaks after seven people went missing. Hobler says it is common for skiers or snowboarders to get lost in the area as it looks like a route back to the village, but actually slopes away.
