A Kamloops woman won more than $500,000 playing online slots during her lunch break.

Tammy Harden won $503,116.45 playing Cleopatra, an online slot game through PlayNow.com – the B.C. Lottery Corporation website.

“No more rent,” was her first thought, according to a release from the lottery corporation.

Initially, it was hard for her to believe she had actually won. Once she verified her win, she took the rest of the day off.

Harden broke the news to her daughter first.

“She didn’t believe me and when I showed her, she used a bad word. My son cried and said it’s going to change my life.”

Harden will be setting some of her winnings aside for a new home and share some of the prize with loved ones, like her sister, who she’s taking to Las Vegas.

“It’s unreal, it’s amazing,” said Harden. “It’s just a really happy feeling.”
