KAMLOOPS - Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal hit and run collision that killed a 48-year-old man.
The incident happened on Oct. 20 at 1:30 a.m. on Seymour Street West, and police said previously they were looking for a blue sedan as the suspect vehicle.
However, in a news release issued today, Oct. 30, Kamloops RCMP are saying this vehicle did not strike the victim but the occupants of the vehicle may have been a key witness to the collision.
"Police would like to speak with the occupants who were in the car at that time," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release.
Officers are now analyzing video footage from various parts of the downtown core to determine what happened and identify a suspect vehicle.
"Numerous vehicles are seen in the area at the time of the collision and investigators continue to work towards identifying the suspect car and any potential witnesses," Shelkie says.
If you have information about the fatal hit and run contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or, if your wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
