KAMLOOPS — After a stabbing on the North Shore yesterday afternoon, Kamloops RCMP are releasing more details and asking for the public's help in collecting more evidence.

Kamloops RCMP arrested four individuals yesterday, May 15, after responding to a stabbing at 3 p.m. at the Northbridge Hotel at 377 Tranquille Road, according to a RCMP media release.

Once officers got on scene, they found a 34-year-old man from Prince George bleeding profusely. Although his injuries were serious, police say the victim is expected to survive. Officers say the attack appears to be targeted and connected to the local drug trade.

Within minutes of being dispatched to the incident, police located the suspect vehicle which was a black 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche at a Linden Avenue residence. Police say this house is known to police.

Police arrested three men and a woman who were all taken into custody without incident.

A heavy police presence remained at the Linden Avenue residence as police conducted investigations and executed several search warrants overnight and today, May 16.

Jennifer Manuel, 36, Devon McConnell, 39, and Derek Jensen, 33, have all been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault.

Evan Davis, 24, was also arrested at the Linden Avenue location on outstanding warrants. Police do not believe he was involved with the assault.

Since the investigation is still ongoing, police have released surveillance footage of the suspects and vehicle. Anyone who may have dash cam footage or may have witnessed anything in this area between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 pm. on Tranquille Road should contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
