Kamloops RCMP searching for suspects following hit and run outside pub

KAMLOOPS —  Kamloops RCMP are looking for a male driver after a man was left in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle outside a North Shore pub earlier this month.

On June 15 at 10 p.m., police say a man and a woman left the Rock’n Firkin Sports Pub & Grill on Sydney Avenue without paying for their tab, according to an RCMP media release.

A customer followed them telling them they needed to pay and the male suspect became verbally confrontational, got into his vehicle and sped towards the victim, striking him and drove away.

RCMP say the man received serious but non-life threatening injuries and he was transported to a local medical facility by ambulance.

Police describe the driver as being Caucasian, in his 50s or 60s, scruffy facial hair, and balding short hair. He was wearing a red Adidas tracksuit, two watches on his left wrist and many rings on his fingers.

The female passenger is described as Caucasian, in her 30s, 5’8” tall, with long blonde hair in a bun. On the night of the incident, she was wearing jean shorts, a black long-sleeved shirt and a black baseball cap.

The suspect vehicle was a red car.

Anyone who can identify the man, woman or vehicle should call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-300.
