Kamloops RCMP searching for stolen dump truck hauling excavator

RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating this stolen dump truck and the excavator it was carrying on a trailer. It was reported stolen on Dec. 4, 2019.

Tk’emlups Rural RCMP are searching for a stolen truck pulling an excavator on a trailer.

Police say they received a call early today, Dec. 4, at approximately 3 a.m. after a white Ford F550 dump truck with a trailer carrying an excavator was stolen from 745 Sarcee St. East, according to a RCMP news release.

RCMP say the truck’s licence plate was JR5705 and the trailer licence plate was 90969D with a John Deere Model D35 yellow and black excavator.

The truck has the name McCaskill Mechanical in red and black writing on the side of the truck. Police determined the vehicle was heading southbound on the Yellowhead Highway from Mt. Paul Way passing Shuswap Road.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 250-314-1800.
