Kamloops RCMP are looking for a suspect who changed his clothes after a Monday afternoon armed robbery.

Police showed up to a business on the 1200 block of Summit Drive around 3 p.m., June 6. The suspect was carrying what appeared to be a firearm, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.

Kamloops RCMP did not say whether anything was stolen, nor did police say which business the suspect went to. However, police did say the suspect changed his clothes behind First Choice Haircutters before fleeing on foot.

The nearest First Choice Haircutters location is on 1055 Hillside Drive.

“The investigation is in its very early stages, but police are requesting anyone who saw a Caucasian man changing his clothes behind a business around the time of the robbery, or who has information related to this incident, including surveillance and dash cam footage, to please contact police right away,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP said in the release.

A police dog tracked down the "suspected" firearm, along with a neon green hat, camo jacket, white sweater and black pants, according to the release.
