Kamloops RCMP are looking for a suspect from a break-in and porch theft earlier this week.
Surveillance footage from a Sahali business clearly shows the suspect as he leaves, but his face is covered with a scarf and toque.
Police responded to the business on the 1500 block of Springhill Drive on Monday, Dec. 19, just before 4 a.m., according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.
The suspect left with cash, iPads and a large gift basket after he broke into the business. RCMP don't identify the business.
“As part of the investigation, police believe the suspect may be the same one involved in a porch-pirate theft reported earlier this month,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP said in the release.
Two packages were stolen from a porch on the 1700 block of Ironwood Crescent.
“Even if the incidents turn out to be unrelated, it’s still important for people to reach out if they think they know who the suspect is,” Evelyn said.
Anyone with information related to these investigations can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-44610 or 2022-44941.
