Kamloops RCMP arrested a man today who was wanted on more than half a dozen offences including attempted murder.

Terrance Jones, 40, of no fixed address was arrested in Kamloops after police received reports he was at a location on Victoria Street, according to an RCMP media release.

Officers attended the scene with police dog and arrested him "without incident" shortly after 10 a.m. today, Jan. 11.

Jones was wanted on counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault robbery with a firearm, among other similar charges. All are related to a Salmon Arm RCMP file from August last year.

He is currently being held and awaiting a court appearance.
