KAMLOOPS - Two men have been arrested after an attempted break-in at a home in the Brocklehurst neighbourhood of Kamloops, and a third suspect is still on the run.
RCMP say a homeowner called police at about 9:20 a.m. today, March 21, to report three men were trying to break into his home. Police arrived quickly, but the suspects fled.
A police dog was called to the scene and was able to track two of the men to Greenfield Avenue where the pair were taken into police custody without issue, according to an RCMP media release.
The third man has to yet be caught. Police believe he was injured during his escape because witnesses in the area have reported a man with a limp jumping fences and moving from yard to yard.
Anyone who sees a man with a significant limp in the Brocklehurst area is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
