KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops RCMP officer is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
The B.C. Prosecution Service says in a news release today, Dec. 7, Kamloops RCMP Const. Joedy Todd Henderson has been charged in relation to an incident on Aug. 25, 2017 when he was on duty.
Henderson is facing one count of assault causing bodily harm and is first expected to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court on Jan. 11, 2018.
The B.C. Prosecution Service says the charge was approved by an experienced Crown counsel located in a different area of the province, and who has no prior connection to Henderson.
The circumstances around the alleged offence have not yet been made public.
