A Kamloops RCMP officer was taken to hospital after a crash this morning.
The officer riding a marked police motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle at Fortune Drive and Fort Avenue around 11 a.m. today, June 6, according to a press release from Kamloops RCMP.
“Currently traffic in the area is being rerouted, as emergency responders are on scene investigating the crash,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said in the release.
The officer has been taken to hospital, but RCMP has not said how serious their injuries are.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area, and any witnesses or people with video of the crash to contact RCMP and reference file number 2024-17296.
