A Kamloops man was taken to hospital this morning with serious injuries after an assault with a weapon.
Officers were called to a home in the 1100 block of 13 Street on the North Shore at around 7 a.m., June 26, to a report of a man with serious injuries as a result of blunt force trauma, according to an RCMP media release.
“A man was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, the extent of which are unknown at this time,” Kamloops RCMP media liaison Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
RCMP don't say what kind of weapon was used in the assault or if a weapon was recovered at the scene.
“A police presence remains in the area as officers continue to investigate with the assistance of numerous support units, including the General Investigations Support Team, Crime Reduction Unit, and Forensic Identifications Services.”
Anyone who witnessed, has security video, or dash camera footage that may have captured anyone arriving or fleeing from the residence, or could be related to this incident, is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-20005.
