A Kamloops man has made it into the top 10 spot in a world poker event in Las Vegas.
Aaron Duczak is currently listed in the top four spot in the World Series of Poker $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em World Championship, also known as the "Main Event," according to a press release from the World Series.
The championship is being held on the Las Vegas Strip.
In 2021, the event saw 6,650 participants from around the world despite taking place during a pandemic.
This year’s main event began July 3 and the deep-stack tournament will continue to play through the Final Table today, Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16.
A total of 8,663 participants signed up for the tournament and only 10 remain. The prize pool is more than $80 million.
