Kamloops man facing mischief charge after daytime fires

A Kamloops man is facing a charge of mischief after authorities dealt with a pair of fires being set in broad daylight.

Shortly after 2 p.m., Jan. 27, police were called to a building on the 400 block of Victoria Street where a man was reportedly setting fires, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say a small fire had already been extinguished when they arrived, but a suspect's description was provided by a witness.

About an hour later, police were called to the 100 block of 4 Avenue where a man had lit a small fire and was interfering with traffic in a parking lot.

Police arrested a suspect who was released with conditions after appearing in court.

Keghan Samuel Cosh, 38, is charged with one count of mischief.
