Kamloops man arrested for smashing vehicle into Bed Bath and Beyond

A car drove through the front doors of the Bed Bath and Beyond located in the Sahali area of Kamloops on March 27, 2018.

KAMLOOPS - A man has been arrested for an alleged trying to break into the Bed Bath and Beyond in Sahali yesterday with a vehicle.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release the suspect is a 53-year-old Kamloops man previously known to police.

Shelkie says investigative information will be forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service to determine any possible criminal charges.

Officers responded to a commercial alarm at the Bed Bath and Beyond store yesterday morning, March 27, at approximately 5:20 a.m.

The front doors to the business were damaged when a vehicle drove through them, but no entry was gained through a second set of doors, police said.
