Kamloops Long Blades skate great on the road

Members of the Kamloops Long Blades Speed Skating Club were back on the road this weekend with races in Kelowna and Maple Ridge.

Thirteen skaters travelled to Kelowna for the 2016 Kelowna Cup. Meena Litt, Evan Columbus, Keidis Corrigan and Meena Litt each skated personal best times in all of their respective races. Anisha Litt, Jared Roberts, Abigail Van der Merwe, Caleb Van der Merwe and Yael Van der Merwe each skated two personal bests races.

Meanwhile, two skaters travelled to Maple Ridge for the Ridge Meadows Interclub Meet. Martina Antifay came in second place in both the 200m and 500m races while Holly Antifay raced to second place finishes in both 500m races in her division.
