Alesia Willard’s five-year-old husky Sadie is the best sales person she's ever had.

In the last 10 months, Sadie the Siberian husky has become a star in the Kamloops 24 Hour Auction Facebook group. It has more than 24,000 members and residents look forward to Willard’s ads, which also feature Sadie’s entertaining expressions.

“Ninety-nine point nine percent of the attention she gets is because of her eyes. She just has this wild look about her. The only way to describe is it like she’s hyped up on caffeine 24/7 but she just looks like that all the time,” she said.

The posts began when Sadie photobombed one of Willard’s ad photos and she decided to leave her in it.

“It just kind of went from there,” she said. “At this point I’ll just make an excuse to find something to sell just so I can stick her face on the internet and give everyone a chuckle.”

All the comments help bump her posts to the top of the group and she’s gathered a small fan following, with people even wanting calendars of Sadie.

“Everyone wants psycho Sadie’s face on their wall,” she joked, adding the dog has her own Facebook fan page.

She said the item always sells if Sadie is featured.

Willard has had Sadie since the day she was born.

“She was kind of an oopsie. I had her mom and there was a husky in the area that was known to get loose so he jumped the fence and knocked her mom up and I didn’t know until the day Sadie was born,” she said. “She’s been entertaining our lives ever since.”

During the pandemic, Willard said she wants to brighten people’s days and she's always able to sell the items featuring Sadie.

“Everybody needs a Sadie face on their Facebook feed now and then,” she said.
