KAMLOOPS - As if being named as another stop in the FEST series last week wasn’t enough, Aggy’s Reunion has also been crowned as the top freeride event of the year.
Aggy’s Reunion is named for local mountain bike rider Graham Agassiz and was the first stop in the FEST series last year. It was up against the Red Bull Joyride and the Red Bull Rampage for the Pinkbike MTB Award of slopestyle/freeride event of the year.
The event took place at the Kamloops Bike Ranch in Juniper and the course was built by Agassiz, Brad Stuart and other locals.
“The course was the closest thing to freestyle motocross that we’d seen in mountain biking. Riders, and fans alike, raved about it.” the announcement reads. “Simply put, Aggy’s Reunion is what freeride mountain biking is all about.”
Aggy’s Reunion will take place May 17 to 18 this year.
