A Kamloops woman is looking for the owner of a bag full of jewellery her dog found last winter.
Daisy Adams, her husband and their Australian Shepherd Lewy had just moved to Kamloops and were staying in a van in a parking lot on Schubert Drive.

"We would let her out to pee and she just kept running around this bush, trying to get me to look for something inside of it," Adams said. "She was really insistent that there was something there that she wanted to get."
Lewy finally dug her way into the juniper bush and found what she seemed to be looking for.

"She came out and was just prancing around the parking lot, she was so proud of herself," she said. "When I got it from her, she had this little pencil case stuffed full of jewellery."
Although the collection is mostly broken costume jewellery, several engraved lockets containing old photos may hold sentimental value, she said.

"That's what I care about, just getting the personal stuff back to people," she said.
Because she had just moved to town, Adams said she didn't know how to get the word out, but held onto the jewellery.

Now that she is a member of a Brocklehurst community group on Facebook, she decided to put the word out about her dog's discovery.
So far, Adams has not found the owner, but hopes they will contact her in the future.
