KAMLOOPS - Local groups are hoping to get a better idea of how businesses are doing in Kamloops.
Venture Kamloops and Open Door group are set to distribute the 2016 Business Climate Survey, which continues on a 2013 survey focused on business retention and expansion.
Results from the 2013 survey were used to build programs and initiatives in Kamloops’ current five-year strategic plan.
“The data from that study allowed Kamloops organizations and businesses to understand current labour shortages and develop strategies for the future. We know this kind of information is invaluable as it allows us to help local businesses thrive in Kamloops,” Venture Kamloops business retention and expansion manager Colin O'Leary says in a release.
The goal is to have at least 200 businesses complete the 20-minute survey. The results are scheduled to be released in the fall of 2016. Data will be used to pinpoint business concerns, aid in growth and development, and draw attention to strengths and successes of Kamloops businesses.
The survey can be accessed online here.
