KAMLOOPS - Every wanted to buy a golf course? How about a restaurant? What about a combo deal?
Sun Rivers Golf Course, along with Hoodoos restaurant, is going up for sale, according to Sun Rivers Development CEO Rick Siemens.
“The listing is going to be going out this week,” he says. “We’re hoping to sell it to a party that has a background in golf operations.”
Siemens says Sun Rivers Development never intended to keep the golf course because the company was a land development firm and the golf course was an amenity. The company’s partners have decided now is the time to sell.
The focus for the developers will turn towards the rest of the Sun Rivers development, which has about 850 units built. It should have around 2,000 residential units when finished.
Siemens isn’t saying how much the course and restaurant will go for, but does say it’ll be a requirement the golf course is kept as is or improved upon, and not replaced.
