Kamloops about to be overrun by Lions

The B.C. Lions will again be in Kamloops for a spring training camp.

KAMLOOPS - The B.C. Lions are set to begin their three-week training camp in Kamloops, with the first year camp starting on Thursday.

The three-day first year camp will be held Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31, at which point the full squad will hit the field.

The team plans to hold open practices almost daily through June 17 with a Fanfest event planned for June 7. Fanfest will include a practice, autograph session and football clinic.

Friday, June 12, the team will head to Calgary to take on the Stampeders in Canadian Football League preseason play before returning to Hillside Stadium for on-field practices Monday, June 15.

A full training camp schedule can be found on the B.C. Lions website, and is subject to change as needed throughout the camp.
