Notice to Greater Vernon Water Customers

??The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) wishes to inform customers of Greater Vernon Water (GVW) that the Kalamalka Lake water source will be turned back on as of Thursday, December 8, 2016.

The Kalamalka Pump Station was shut down on November 10, 2016 to accommodate the extension of the water intake in Kalamalka Lake. The majority of the work, including the intake and new screens, has been completed and GVW can now return this water supply back to normal operations.

Customers on the Kalamalka Lake supply may notice a change in water quality such as an increase in hardness. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.

For further information, please contact the RDNO at 250-550-3700 or visit the website.
