John Krasinski has been offering up some good news from a weekly webcast and it inspired an “intellectual property heist” that has spanned the globe and even earned a local DJ a nod.

The Office alum’s Some Good News web series started last weekend and in its second episode, he started by sharing clips from others that were clearly “ripping off” his idea, starting with Stephen Keppler from EZ Rock Kelowna.

“In Okanagan Canada @RadioKeppler anointed himself as my SGN my coanchor without consulting a lawyer and he did a frustratingly good job,” Krasinski said in this week's episode.

He plays a clip of Keppler running through local headlines, like double digit temperatures and an end to paid parking and then moves on to April Fool’s day. Keppler's clip comes to an end and Krasinski then moves on to other homages in Tenesseee and  Saigon.

Keppler didn’t let the opportunity pass without comment, obviously, taking to Twitter last night to request a Krasinski interview.

He may be busy with his own show, though.

Krasinski kept much of the focus on all the hopeful stories surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic,  but he also brought the cast of Hamilton together.
