Father and son robbed of jewelry worth $70,000 in Fraser Valley heist

MISSION, B.C. - Jewelry valued at more than $70,000 has been stolen from a father and son in Mission, B.C.

RCMP in the Fraser Valley district aren't saying much about the Feb. 24, heist.

They confirm the victims were leaving their home with the jewelry when the early-morning robbery occurred.

Two men believed to be in their late 20s, wearing ski masks and possibly toting a firearm, jumped the pair, grabbed the jewels and fled in the victims' pickup truck.

Investigators found the vehicle a short distance from the scene, but the jewelry was gone.

Mounties are urging anyone with information to give them a call.
