It's going to warm up this weekend in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - While residents of Kamloops keep an eye out for flurries, spring-like weather should be here for the weekend.

Today, March 9, we will reach a high of 3 Celsius, according to Environment Canada, though flurries are likely throughout the day. This evening the tempertaure will drop to around -1 C with periods of snow overnight. Kamloops could get up to 4 centimetres of snow by tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow it will be a bit warmer, but snow and rain are expected. A high of 5 C is forecast with up to 2 cm of snow in the morning and showers in the afternoon. It will cool down to -2 C overnight with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

The weekend is expected to be significantly warmer.

Saturday the forecast high is 9 C with a chance of showers during the day. Overnight, the temperature will fall to 1 C, with a chance of showers.

On Sunday the precipitation should taper off, with a high of 11 C and an overnight low of 3 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of about 10 C and lows of around -1 C.
