A man from Kamloops won a $1 million Lotto Max draw.
Rolan Schindel bought a Lotto Max ticket on Sept. 17, at a gas station in Kamloops and when he got home he realized he had won the Maxmillion, according to a media release from BC Lottery Corporation.
“My first thought was, ‘It must be a mistake,’ I checked it over three times before I called my wife over to double-check the numbers,” he said in the release. “She didn’t believe me even after she read the numbers online.”
Schindel said he’s going to redo his driveway and help his kids and grandkids.
“This lets me help my family,” he said. “It’s unreal.”
