Police are investigating a murder after a man was found dead in the Paul Lake area near Kamloops, now investigators are hoping someone has video that could help.
Dylan Thomas Godfrey, 43, was found dead during a property crime investigation on April 25, according to a press release from police.
Police have been gathering evidence and talking to members of the community over the past week.
Now the RCMP is asking anyone who was in the North Shore of Kamloops that has video, or dash cam footage from 5 a.m. on April 16 to 10 a.m. on April 22 to come forward.
Police initially asked for video from 6 a.m. on April 23 to 7 a.m. on April 25 in a press release on April 29.
Police also asked for anyone who had communication or dealings with Godfrey from April 14 onwards has also been asked to contact police.
“As our investigators close in on a definitive understanding of how Mr. Godfrey was murdered and the events that transpired after, we strongly urge anyone with information or knowledge to contact our information line,” Staff Sgt. Jason Smart said in the release.
Officers arrested three men outside of Kamloops for possession of stolen property and failing to comply with court orders the day Godfrey was found.
During the investigation police found Godfrey’s body. Officers with the Southeast District Major Crime Unit were called and took over the investigation.
