There's a new clock in downtown Invermere.

Telling the time in downtown Invermere just got way easier.
A public clock has been installed at the town’s most central intersection of 7th Avenue and 13th Street.

Locals Jim Guild, Robin Britton, and Doug Kipp wanted to do something special in memory of a fellow citizen named Kris Scamen.
The group of three, with help from the Invermere Rotary Club, purchased the clock and gifted it to the municipality.
“Jim Guild has seen many clocks in his travels around the world and thought these clocks (also known as post clocks or street clocks) were great landmarks, being both decorative and functional,” reads a Facebook post from the District of Invermere.
“Thank you to all involved in this project, one that all community members and visitors can enjoy! Now we will always know the time in Downtown Invermere.”
