Conservation officers stepped in to rescue a deer in a seasonal snafu in Invermere.
Conservation officers were alerted to a mule deer buck in need of help, after several locals spotted it with Christmas lights tangled in its antlers.
Officers were able to locate the deer and free it from its festive headgear.
"It’s not uncommon for deer to get tangled up in netting, fencing or other objects," the conservation officer service said in a Facebook post.
They recommended hanging lights and decorations high to help wildlife avoid these holiday hangups.
If you see an animal in distress, call the conservation officer 24-hour hotline at 1-877-952-7277.
