Interior Health Authority picks from within for new CEO

KELOWNA - The Interior Health Authority has gone internal for a replacement for outgoing CEO Chris Mazurkewich.

Senior administrator Susan Brown has been appointed to replace Mazurkewich who is retiring at the end of October, provincial Health Minister Adrian Dix said in a press release.

Brown has been on the executive team since 2011, first as vice-president tertiary services, then as VP hospitals and communities.

Before that, Brown worked for Fraser Health as executive director of the medicine program. She holds a masters of health studies and a bachelor of science in nursing.
