Two women were picked up from the east shore of Okanagan Lake this morning after one injured herself last night.
They spent the night camping at Buchan Bay and tended to the injury but this morning they decided it was unsafe to try and hike out, according to a media release from the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue.
The campers called the RCMP who called COSAR.
A four-man team responded via boat while two other members were at incident command.
“The boat team reached the campers and after assessing the injury, transported her to the Peachland Yacht Club where an ambulance was waiting to take her to Kelowna General Hospital,” the release says.
