Information from neighbours leads to drug seizure, arrests in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant on a Lower Mission residence last week seizing illegal drugs and arresting four people.

Kelowna RCMP have arrested four individuals in addition to seizing a quantity of drugs after acting on information from a concerned neighbours.

RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Stuart Smith said in a press release issued this morning, Feb. 18, the Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit executed a search warrant at a Lower Mission residence on Feb. 14, located in the 600 block of Tomby Court in Kelowna.

“As a result of information gathered from concerned citizens in the neighbourhood, officers initiated an investigation,” Cpl. Smith said in the release.

“During the search of the house and property, police seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs, including ketamine, heroin and cocaine,” he said.

The warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into drug trafficking in the area. Four individuals were taken into custody but later released, pending further investigation.
