Three sets of ears could be seen sticking up above the calm surface of Kalamalka Lake on a blue sky day near Vernon recently and a couple of paddle boarders got video of the special sight.
In the water was a mother deer leading two fawns across a section of the lake.
You can hear the fawn in the rear complaining loudly before reaching shore. The deer were being followed at a respectful distance from curious paddleboarders, until they got on land again, safe and sound.
