The Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra has been featured in a national campaign for Habitat for Humanity.

The 50 members, co-conducted by Dennis Colpitts and Rosemary Thomson, performed the “Farandole" for a promotion to highlight the thrift shops run by charity.

The video was a recorded at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore on Enterprise Drive in Kelowna.

The Okanagan youth orchestra is now known across Canada as the “ReStorchestra,” according to a youth symphony press release.

“This holiday we are showcasing this goal through the narrative of music, and just like an orchestra Habitat for Humanity requires people coming together to create something special,” Jack Shaw, who does marketing for Habitat for Humanity Canada, said in the release.

The youth orchestra will also be performing in the Okanagan’s three biggest cities this weekend.

They’ll be in Vernon on Nov. 26 for a 3 p.m. show at the Trinity United Church. On Nov. 27, they’ll be playing the Penticton Cleland Community Theatre at 2 p.m. and the First Lutheran Church in Kelowna at 7 p.m.
