Kelowna-based game developer Hyper Hippo has released a new video game that is being distributed by Netflix across the planet.

Mobile game Dungeon Dwarves was released today, Feb. 1, and is now available worldwide at app stores and through Netflix Games.

"Hyper Hippo is thrilled to launch the first idle game on Netflix in 15 languages in over 190 countries around the world," Hyper Hippo Entertainment founder Lance Priebe, said in a media release. "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to collaborate with a team who clearly love games as much as we do and who support our vision of entertaining and inspiring players around the world."

The mobile-based game sees players take a party of "mighty dwarven heroes" through an "endless series of deadly challenges."

The game was developed by the same Kelowna tech entrepreneur that co-created Club Penguin, an incredibly popular game that was eventually sold to the Walt Disney Company.

"Dungeon Dwarves is a fun, addictive idle game that everyone can play, but with room for mastery. Your Dwarves never stop fighting, so there are always shiny rewards waiting for you when you log in. Play for as little or as much as you like, every session promising compelling progress, deadly battles, Dwarven antics, and heaps of treasure," reads the media release.

The game is already available in 15 languages with another 18 languages to be added in the future.

The game is available for free at App stores and can also be found on Netflix Games, taking its reach to almost every country in the world.

The game can be found at the App Store, Google Play, and Netflix Games.
