A landscape photographer has been capturing the beauty of Shuswap Lake on video as it transforms through the days and seasons since she moved with her family to Sicamous from Alberta last summer.
Joy Daniels’ videos show the lake in the light of sunrises and sunsets, and under starry skies and aurora borealis.
“The view of the lake and hills from our garden is incredible,” she said. “I’m beyond grateful to have my daily opportunities to capture the lake and sky from this unique vantage point.”
On an early morning in March, Daniels captured the mist rising off the lake to the sound of a cacophony of birds.
She said Sicamous is a magical and beautiful place and is looking forward to continuing showcasing its beauty through her lens.
“This really is a wonderful place and I’ve captured lots of great aurora since moving here,” she said. “I’m an eclipse chaser and have travelled all over the world.
“Right here is one the most beautiful places on earth.”
