Diana Gerlof has lived at her Barnhartvale property for almost 12 years and she’s been waiting all that time to see the elusive bobcat known to roam the area.

During her morning coffee, she was finally treated to a sight of the wildcat.

“I was drinking my coffee, it was quite early... and I noticed my dog noticed something in the garden... At first I thought it was a house cat. It was eating something, probably a mouse,” Gerlof says. “I grabbed my camera and he was there for quite a while.”

Gerlof and her golden retriever watched as the animal made its way through the garden.

She has seen other videos of a bobcat shared to her local community Facebook page but had never seen one.

“We have quite a bit of wildlife but I’ve never seen the bobcat. Not in my garden and not anywhere else… I was very excited,” Gerlof says.

You can watch the bobcat as he strolls through her garden in the video below.
