Some Kamloops residents were treated to a dose of positivity yesterday thanks to someone in a T-Rex suit on a busy city street.

Tracey Bell had just picked up supplies and was driving home with her daughter when they spotted someone in an inflatable dinosaur costume on Tranquille Road holding a cardboard sign that read, “Extinction sucks, stay home.”

“We stopped at the red light and saw him walking down the street, and it was quite funny. I mean good funny, it was nice, a break,” Bell says.

Bell says she honked and waved at the dinosaur, and is happy to see some positivity during this period of time.

Nathan Ritchie also spotted the person in the dinosaur costume but this time the sign read: "Be nicer humans."
