A man managed to capture a video of a hungry black bear chase down and catch a rabbit on a road near Whistler recently.

The video posted to Instagram yesterday, May 26, shows the bear chasing the rabbit in circles on the road before nabbing the it before wandering into the bush to eat its meal.

According to WildSafeBC, bears are omnivores and although 80 per cent of their diet is vegetation, the remainder comes from rodents, fish, bugs and dead animals. They also sometimes eat young deer, elk or moose if the opportunity arises.
