A herd of bighorn sheep were very orderly when they took a stroll down a sidewalk in Penticton on Monday.

Some even show hesitation while crossing at a crosswalk, in a video recorded, Nov. 21, by Brian Hesla, who lives on Carmi Avenue in the city.

But a moment after their calm trip down the sidewalk, the herd was seen hastily running back the other direction.

Hesla said he’s normally used to seeing a small number of deer roaming his neighbourhood.

“Rare to have a whole herd (of bighorn sheep) walking down the street,” he said

Hesla noticed at least two of the bighorns had tracking collars.
