iN VIDEO: Family tries paintball for the first time at West Kelowna adventure park

The entrance to the Safari Ridge Adventure Park is seen in this file photo taken Aug. 11, 2019. Safari Ridge has been the place to go for paintball in Kelowna since 1993.

While some dads were getting breakfast in bed, this one from Kelowna decided he wanted to spend Father's Day a little differently.

Jonathan Riesebos, his wife and two children decided to try paintball at Safari Ridge Adventure Park in West Kelowna, and filmed their exciting (and occasionally painful) experience.

The group is shown how to use different styles of paintball guns before everyone gears up.

The each family member gets code names, and the battle begins.

Safari Ridge has been the place to go for paintball in Kelowna for 25 years. The course is open every day for drop-ins or bookings. Players get two hours guaranteed per game.
