A hungry lynx caught a meal at McArthur Island Park when it surprised a group of ducks in a parking lot.

In a video post to Facebook by SPLIT REED, originally taken by Kayla Anderson, a lynx can be seen pouncing from a bush into a flock of unsuspecting ducks, grabbing one by the neck.

Conservation officer Graydon Bruce told iNFOnews.ca the wildcat has been in that area for several days and isn't a threat to humans.

He warned the public not to get too close to the lynx after seeing a group of 15 people crowd around it this past weekend.

Conservation officials are going to leave the lynx alone because of its low risk to the public and relocating it would be too stressful for the wildcat.
