A Lower Mainland semi-truck escort driver caught a dangerous scene on his dash cam along Highway 5 last week.
Rich Andru, from the Lower Mainland, was driving along Highway 5, north of Clearwater, June 26, when a semi-truck passed him and the semi-truck in front of him on a double-solid lane in a corner.

Semi-truck passes on double solid lanes in a corner
He escorts oversized vehicles, and as a former semi-truck driver, he said these incidents happen frequently.
“The four lanes are pretty good, we have certain bridges where we have to use both lanes to get across the bridge… at 10 km/hr and we’ve had people almost rear-end us,” he said.
He wants to bring awareness to the problem as there have been several crashes including a fatality involving a semi-truck in Jasper National Park last month and said it’s a small group of people that are causing the issue.
